Les
Why wouldn't it be on.
I know Dan Mckinnon has it booked.

I hope people will be less critical next year.
I thought this years was very good.

Anyway here is a link that indicates that it is on

Thanks Les thats good news. It's just that there is usualy some publicity around by now, (not even the date on the website), and with the increased cost to Whitby Folk week of the Communitee College, resulting in it's unavailiability for camping. I just wondered.
Cheers
Les

There may be nowt on the web just yet, but Glen is starting to poster the town with a provisional lineup.

Looked good when I glanced at it, I will try and post some highlights when I've had another look. This being the tenth festival he is trying to make it a bit special, and booking a number of the acts which appeared in the early years. He is also trying to re-invite lots of dance teams from past years.

Yes, it's definitely on. Artists booked so far are: Waterson/Carthy; Vin Garbutt; Marie Little; George Papavgeris; Marie Little; Sid Kipper; Hall Brothers & many more!
Dates are 28/29/30 April for the festival.
Get it in your diaries now - it's brill - but maybe I'm a bit biased
Jude

Sounds a great line up, i'll be there as a paying punter or with one of those dance sides (if we get an invite). Southport Swords (not so subtle hint)!
Cheers
Les

You'll never catch live Kippers! George

Moor and Coast might be viewed more favourable this year with the non showing of Holmfirth

George Papavgeris is most certainly not to be missed, a singer songwriter and performer who sings from the heart

I went to a FF couple of years ago and I swear half the females were in tears listening to one of his songs

Oh they do get out, but George seems to get em quivering. Must be the size of his lunchbox LOL :-)

Are you sure you couldn't shift it to 5-7 May 2006 in order to clash with the sixth Mudcat EuroGathering in Cork, as is customary?

Peace

Myself and the Good Lady Wombat will hopefully attend next year, I'm a bit surprised Glen hasn't put everyone right with a thread saying what a cracking festival it is

Saw my mate Chris today and tells me he's just updated the website. So here it is:

Moor and coast

There should be a possibility of booking online when Glen gets his paypal account sorted out. You'll notice from the website that this year (the 10th) is bigger and better than ever including the Bank Holiday Monday.

For those people wanting to book a property, then this is the best agency. Some nice properties and a chance to book from the Friday. They also know each property they are dealing with.

G'Day,

Yes Breezy, I'll not be over for the Moor & Coast this year. Too much going on on this side of the Atlantic although I wish I was going to be there. I do love Whitby and I enjoy the festival immensely. I'm heading over the first of June and then off to several places. (I'm in the midst of looking for more dates so if anyone is interested...?!

Cheers,

Dan
