Subject: BIG BARROW XMAS SESSIONS From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 11 Dec 05 - 02:06 PM Yes, it's about time we had another festive set of BIG BARROW SESSIONS, so let's get sorted. First one is on 20th December, second - probably the biggest - is on 27th December, just time to shake off the Boxing Day torpor, and the sad, back-to-school type session is on 3rd January. Venue, the Six Bells pub in Barrow-on Humber. Time - From around 8.00pm. Welcome - warm, particularly to young 'catters - the youngest lady we welcome is about 6! And she leads a set! Beer - good. Atmosphere - great. This is a session, NOT a singaround, NOT led. Mostly toons (from wherever) and the occasional song. Anarchy and good manners are both there in full proportion. If you want to come along, young or old, we'll be so pleased to see you. These holiday sessions are always special, it's great to see kids growing into the tradition of live music. Let's support and encourage them! |
