Subject: RE: Chord Req: In The Pines: Joan Baez version From: Fliss Date: 11 Dec 05 - 07:53 PM Ralph McTell does a version. I first heard it in the late 60s. Its possibly on his 'Blue Skies Black Heroes' album/CD. The first link is nothing like the version Ralph does, the second tabs link is. Pat Simons from 'Cuckoo Oak' has another verse: Where did you get that dress so red Where did you get those shoes so fine I got the dress from a railroad man And the shoes from off the line. He misses out the verse about the husband. fliss |

I heard Baez' rendition years back and there was nothing 'special' about her chording. I think those from Munroe would work with the words you are using. |
Subject: Chord Req: In The Pines: Joan Baez version From: Folkie101 Date: 11 Dec 05 - 02:58 PM Does anyone know the guitar chords (basic guitar chords) to the song "In The Pines"? Joan Baez used to sing it in the 1960's. The lyrics start out with "Black girl, black girl, don't lie to me. Where did you sleep last night? Thanks, Folkie |
