Seems I accidently bought a party tent so we can use it as an extension for music/song if necessary. Can also use it for the now obligatory belly dance workshop.

Given Max's thread re fund raising, perhaps this would be a good point to advertise a Mudcat raffle? I assume we are having one, Jane?

Of course, Morty, so everyone try to contribute something. We will also be auctioning 'Angelica' for the cause. Maddie has got the tickets and tin ready and intends to badger everyone all weekend :0) And talking of badges Tig and Badger will be there to provide mudcat badges which also contribute to mudcat funds.

Many thanks

Is the BBC virtual session web site any good to you, Rhiannon?

Sorry Mrs D - I won't be getting there after all now:-( Son #2 and his better half have arranged a do for the Saturday night that we need to be at. I hadn't realised it was also Eurovision night - That would not have made any odds to me going but it would have been quite interesting to stage a Folky version at the Mudcat do:-)

Wonder if I could have goot nil pois;-) (sp?)

Cheers and good luck with the bash.

Hi Mrs Duck
You know me from The Tap & Spile during Whitby Folk Week.
I wore my red army jacket and bashed my snare drum for you in your wedding procession through Whitby and was next to you when Geoff the duck got down on his knee and proposed to you in the Tap.
I'd love to come to The Yorkshire Gathering this weekend but not sure if I can get a pass! I'll see what I can wangle . Sounds like a reight good do. Are you still O.K for camping places, if not I could poss sleep in the car.

There's plenty of space for camping - we've always managed to fit everybody and their dog in before so plenty of room if you can make it. Be good to see you there.

Just delivered caravan to Black Dog ready for the weekend now. Format will be similar to previous years starting tomorrow night with a mixed session tunes and songs (prefereably chorus songs) to get things underway. It can be a noisy session as folk catch up with one another so quieter songs may be better sung later. Throughout Saturday there will be song sessions, music sessions and anything inbetween. The party tent should also be available for whatever (help with erection would be nice). Sunday morning is always an excuse for a big sing and this may well continue until folk drift off.

Bright sunshine at present Mortie. We had some drizzle this morning, but not that bad. Yesterday was hot sun with a couple of heavy showers. I hung out a load of washing last night and it is now pretty dry.
Don't trust the weathermen.

Well, wasn't that good, having been ejected from our usual venue for the night we had a cracking session in "The Dog". Nice to meet all the hardy 'catters, and me badge, got one at last! I think a new badge is in order, the 'catters St. Swithins Badge, for all those die hards who brave the rain in a campaign tent! Me, I went home and snuggled up in bed! (did I hear "lightwieght"!) However to those who missed last night it was a great session so you have missed out ha, I am sure you will all make up for that today and Sunday, I am otherwise engaged or I would be there . See you all.
Peter
