Subject: A possible song challenge From: Midchuck Date: 16 Feb 06 - 10:17 AM From the blog page of Steve Miller, the sci-fi author: Damn him! So, due to circumstances beyond my control I had a less than restful night last night, and at one point "Liberty Valance" popped into my thoughts and absolutely got stuck, around and around. In trying to exorcise it around 3:10 AM I cast my thoughts to other recent happenings and oooops! I got a few lines.... The Man Who Shot LAWyer WHITtington, he was the VP of us all.... When it came to ducking real damn fast, that Lawyer was no good.... Peter. |

Subject: RE: A possible song challenge From: Duane D. Date: 16 Feb 06 - 09:58 PM Has anyone heard any sort of a corrupted version of the account. It came to my mind that instead of him out hunting quail, he was hunting Dan Quayle and bagged a lawyer instead. A VP after a past VP??? |
Subject: RE: A possible song challenge From: Cluin Date: 16 Feb 06 - 11:21 PM What, this one? Not much in the way of parody there. Looks and sounds kinda thrown together to get on the Web PDQ. |

Subject: RE: A possible song challenge From: Duane D. Date: 18 Feb 06 - 04:39 PM I'm not much of a poet. I thought one possibility could be a parody of "I shot the sheriff" to "I shot the lawyer." While looking for something else online, I found a site with loads of parodies, including many about our VP here: http://www.amiright.com/parody/new.shtml I'm especially fond of the parody the to "Happy Trails" "Happy Quails" If the link doesn't work, try this: http://www.amiright.com/parody/new.shtml |
