From: DADGBE Date: 16 Feb 06 - 08:57 PM Well Guest, If you were to spend the untold number of hours it would take so that you could copy every move Arty made on his recordings, you still wouldn't sound like he does. Every guitarist has his or her own style, attack and tone. Take a listen to David Grismann playing many different mandolins on his Tone Poems recordings. His trademark, magnificent, dark tone is obvious on each instrument. Why not try to sound like yourself? That way, you won't be a copy of anybody. You'll be an original. |
