John Otway (cousin of the more famous Lorcan)got in the papers and on tv in the UK this week as his postponed "World tour" starts soon. It has been financed by his loyal fans who hired the 'plane and 400 (I think) of them have prepaid to travel with him to each venue. Now there's an answer to falling live audiences- take them with you. Now who's going to Oz with El Greko (damn, he's left already)? Seriously if you haven't seen this nutter (John O I mean)live ( I saw him at my local jazz club 2 years ago) go see him if he's in your neck of the woods: guitars, theremin, stepladder (don't ask!). You'll not have seen or heard anything like it!

John Otway the man who earns every penny of his fee. 'You ain't seen nothing yet' a death defying number with an 8 ft step ladder. He has to take at least one loyal fan with him or he couldn't do House of the Rising Sun. Once saw him and The Amazing Mr Smith on the same bill, I've never laughed so much in all my long life.
