Subject: Hop Pole Pub - Folk Session, Aylesbury
From: Hopfolk
Date: 03 May 06 - 01:29 PM

Hello people.
There will be a Folk session in the Hop Pole public house, Aylesbury on Tuesday 16th May from 8.30ish (Maybe a bit later) onwards.

All genres of folk are welcome: Trad. Contemporary, Acapella, Regional, Irish, musicians, singers, listeners, choruseers and the curious too. I intend to conduct the session on a tune/song/tune/song basis if we have the numbers. Variety is the spice... and all that.

The pub itself is most comfortable, with 10 (yes, count'em) different ales from hand-pumps, home-cooked food (until 8pm) and very congenial staff. Did I mention the beer?

Please feel free to bring friend(s) - more = louder/better/merrier.

Cheers

    CamoJohn

PS: Post here for questions etcetera.

CanmoJohn

Do your 8 include Amanda Diamond and /or Eddy Richards? And do Haddenham Hoofers (and their other musicians) know about it?

Kitty

Hello Kitty :-) long time no see.

I'm not familiar with the names I'm afraid. So probably no.

If you have their emails or mudcat names then please PM them to me and I'll do my best.

The number has risen above 8 now, so I've stopped counting (Run out of fingers and I'm not touching me toes on any account!), Phew. But more would be very welcome.

Thanks for the heads-up and hope to see you later in the year (Banbury/Towersey/Whitby etc.)

CamoJohn

This session/singaround went awfully well last night.

Thanks very much to all those people who attended, 'catters and otherwise.

Good news is that there'll be another such event next month and so on into regularity.

3rd Tuesday of the month - 8.30pm Hop Pole Public house, Aylesbury.

See you there.

CamoJohn.
