It is that time of year...
the birds are singing in the trees
and the people will be singing on the ground..

"All the day a singing, supper on the ground....
......gathering 'round........"

The first weekend in June finds the Butte Folk Music
Society holdinig our annunal camp-out. On June 3rd and 4th,
we will be at the Holland Lake Concow Campground in Butte
County. Camp Hoot "N" Holler is an event I look forward to
hosting every year. I hope some mud cats will be able to join us
again this year!!

I've been keeping this one in the back of my mind as one I wanted to go to. Unfortunately, there's an election on the following Tuesday and for a wonder there is a serious and meaningful campaign for county supervisor in my district, so I don't dare leave town. Gosh darn it all anyhow!

Hollister, San Benito County, is my abode. A little bit of the San Joaquin, culturally if not geographically. And only about 250 miles from your neck of the woods. Close enough so that I get to the Maritime museum in SF every so often and to Grass Valley/Nevada City whenever Phillips makes it worth my while (by performing).
