I was doing a Google search for Traditional Music in Scotland. (I will be visiting there, the first 2 weeks of August). I found a schedule for McEwans Sessions.   Are these sessions open to the public, to come and listen?    I will not be taking any musical instruments with me on our trip, but I'd love to find some good music while we are there.

Yes, they are open to the public to come and listen. Ones I've known about have happened in pubs and bars.

The first two weeks of August also means the Edinburgh Festival - although it's mostly a theatre festival, there'll likely be music happening around the city then too.
