He's turning his half century at the end of May so appropriate presents will be welcomed if you are so inclined, but don't feel honour bound!

He had a relatively happy birthday in Venice and celebrated by buying what had to be the world's most expensive icecream and listening to (for a cover charge!) a quintet that consisted of a grand piano, double bass, clarinet, violin and piano accordion - with both the violinist and the clarinetist doubling on shaky egg!

Session will be happening still..... if we're not in the back bar, we'll be in the stable bar, and vice versa.
