Song Sessions in Kinvara area

We are going to be in Kinvara from Saturday 10th June to Sunday 18th June 2006 . Does anyone know of any good song sesssions in the area during our stay and any music sessions to listen in on.

When I was there a couple of years ago there was a weekly singers session at Winkles Bar, I think on Wed evening. But you'd have to check.

There are plenty of pubs in Kinvara with sessions and its a small enough town so you can explore all of it fairly easily. If you don't find one to your liking ask the musicians and they'll probablyh point you in the right direction. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Also there were trad sessions most every night either at Winkles or Keoh's. Kinvara is a lovely town with a lot of fine musicians. There's a nice music shop Fretbordplus with a violin maker in the back. I highly recommend Fallon's B&B in the center of town. Enjoy your visit!

Try a PM to Martin Ryan, although he often shows up as a guest. I'd say he would have the best info on singing sessions in the area.

Winkle's no longer is....how sad. We always thought there would always be a Winkle's. I think there are sessions going sometimes now at Conailes...(sp?)and Greens is always a good place to go for music.
