Anthony John Clarke is a performer who comes across as totally sincere and his songs are from the heart. He establishes immediate contact with an audience, charming them with his stories, his humour and his effortless delivery and making everyone feel he's singing directly to them. He's a skilled interpreter of the songs of others and many of his own songs have become widely performed by other artists. He is a well respected performer and shouldn't be missed.

There will be a singaround after the concert until midnight

Well for once I have to agree with these remarks,

I saw AJC quite recently (March) and everything you have said is TRUE
he sang effortlessly, included all the audience in his singing, and was a jolly fine singer to boot, and WELL worth the money I paid
(which is something I take great pains over - who to spend my hard-earned cash on as I dont usually go to "guest" clubs).

Tim The Twangler will be handling the Singaround, so make yourself known to him on arrival, if you want to sing/play/dance/recite at the singaround. He will give you a number. An identical set of numbers will go into the hat and drawn out. Once everybody has had a turn, the procedure will be repeated, until we get thrown out of the building. :-)

He's a really nice guy, writes and sings great songs and I have yet to meet anyone who hasn't liked his performances and wanted to come back for more.

Christine and Jo-Jo are so correct. However there are still lots of people who haven't seen him before. I am sure those that go on Saturday will thoroughly enjoy the gig.

You never know Christine, if AJC sees your comments he may possibly come and support you when you are spotlight guest on August 11th. :-)

Hey hey how are we all?
Thats me finished for the weekend,are tickets all gone yet?
Really looking forward to hearing this guy,(who isnt a punk poet!)
So busy day Saturday,gotta bathe 0733 -0800
sleep 0800=1330.
Then its Football of some sort on the telly at 1400.
Then get drunk and pratice for singaround on Sunday until Doctor Who comes on.

Hope there will be enough seats and dont forget after we mug the Artist for those last few encores we need a swsift rearrangement of furniture and some ready to use instruments and all of us champing at the bit to play.

Thought AJC and Elizabeth gave us a very good gig, followed by the masterful singaround controller Tim the Twangler. That youngster called Aimee was bloody good and only 15 and a very well mannered girl she was.

Very good turn out, so a big thanks to one and all.

Hope you are feeling a bit better pal I could have used a guitar tuning lesson tonight.
I really enjoyed the Artiste tonight though I must say when I listened to His Lovely Mp3 offerings on his website I did expect an america gentleman.
He has writen some cracking songs and his manner and delivery are really great what a nice bloke and then there was the added bonus of Elizibeth and she was just as nice and what good performers.
I hate kids they sing beautifully they are composed and confident and play guitars better than I do Doh!
Really enjoyed the sing around met and heard some lovely people singing some lovely and New(to me )songs and a beautiful tune on a recorder thanks to all.

Thanks for that, Twangy. Not an easy job to be encouraging, cheerful but keeping the whole thing moving at the same time. We enjoyed the singaround again, in spite of the numbers being down a little...we could say it was more exclusive this time!
Some very clever lyrics in the songs by Anthony, I liked the one about just bringing yourself, especially. No putting pressure on people and just accepting them for themselves.
Thanks Anthony and Elizabeth...oh and thanks for the loan of your piano for a song. It was very kind of you Elizabeth and much appreciated!
