After asking the group what it thought about slow sessions and geting quite a Positive response I have taken the bull by its horns and have aranged for a new one to start. Here are the details. I have left my contact details off as I am not sure if this web site permits that, let me know if it does and I'll post a E-mail contact.

Slow play Folk Session-Workshop

Upstairs at the Old Black Lion, Marefair, Northampton.UK
(near the Railway Station)

Starting from 3rd July every first and third Monday of the month at 8.30pm

Have you ever been at a session and thought I wish I could join in!

Playing at a session can be daunting, the idea is to play traditional folk music at a steady pace and maybe learn some new tunes together. Often people can be put off joining in with the public watching so this is a great opportunity have a go with a group of like minded people. Even if you are comfortable playing at sessions and would enjoy playing at a steadier pace come along. The main thing is to enjoy making music.

Paul

It's okay to post email contact, IF you are comfortable doing so in a public place. Otherwise, please consider joining as a member. It is FREE and you can send and receive Private Messages (PMs) to and fro with other members in which you could share your contact details.

I wish there was a session like yours out West in Colorado. It sounds like a wonderful idea!!

Thanks,

kat

This sounds great to me, I may make the journey up & perhaps try to convince a couple of friends to go along too.
