I reckon it goes something like this - it's not quite right but it's not too far away

    Am
Bhi/ mo/ran daoine uasal ann,
    D5
Bhi/ tuataniaigh na h-Alban ann,
    G5
Bhi/ 'n maistir scoile 'san ministir ann,
    Csus2*       Csus2    Em7
Bhi/ an laoch Mac Amhlaigh ann.

curfa:
G          D5
Do/nal, 'se Do/nal,
    G                D5   Am7
'Se Do/nal a rinne an bhainis,
G          C       Csus2*
Do/nal agus Mo/rag a rinne an
       D
bhainis ainmeil.

Perhaps with a drop D string to give it some depth on the D? DADGAE

Am - x02210 or 755555
D5 - 000235
G5 - 5x0033
Csus2* - x3x033
Csus2 - x3x030
Em7 - 220030
G - 5x0003
Am7 - x02010
D - 000232

And you can run bass lines all over the place (eg in line 3 of verse from 5th to 4th to 2nd to 2nd fret on 2nd string while playing the open DGB strings)

It's probably played in DADGAD or similar modal tuning as most of the chords are that wonderfully ambiguous neither one thing or another sound.

That's how it sounds to my ears anyway.

Now if anyone can give me a phonetic version of the words I think I'll try and get my wife to sing it!
