Only two weeks to go and really looking forward to the party.
For people who haven't been it is a three day sing and play in the depths of Sussex. The S&A is based around Upper Dicker village hall which has showers, toilets, a level campsite, a kitchen and a bar selling Harveys ale from the Lewes brewery.
What more can anyone want from a little festival?

If it stays as hot as this you might want to visit the Pells Open-Air Pool in Lewes, open noon-7.00 pm daily and full of beautiful cool spring water (currently about 23 deg. C). Its website is http://www.pellspool.org.uk/info.htm

It's nearly Olympic size, surrounded by tree-lined lawns, and the oldest in the country, having been built by public subscription in 1860. I'm off there any minute.

Tootle pip,

Valmai

23 Centigrade = 74, quite a reasonable temperature for a swimming pool.

Melodeonboy - you have found the W word...?

That is good news is it not?

As for DK, there is another potential issue - one also has to arrive at the place and time stated, and this has been known to cause problems, no?

DK managed to find Wales - but I thought there was a ban on hunting them. Knockholt is a bit out of the way too mind you, but I don't think there's a ban on hunting Knockholts :-)

Jeff Cole who was coming with me was in a car accident yesterday (he was rammed from behind) and has some whiplash, so he will not be able to make it.

If you know anyone who wants his ticket, they are welcome (particularly if they refund me for it). I suppose you ought to make the arrangements through travelling folk.

What a horrible drive - not a decent road anywhere between Lower Dogsbottom and Upper Dicker - but a very well organised weekend made the trek at an average speed below 30 mph well worth it.

Glad you got back safely Richard, despite the slow journey. We've had a really nice journey home in comparison to the way there on Friday - it really does pay to avoid the M25 car park.

What a fabulous weekend - good company, singing, music & beer. Throw in some sunshine & excellent organisation & it all adds up to one of the most relaxing weekends I've been to. Thanks to all the Travelling Folk for all their hard work on our behalf!!

Oh I'm SO jealous. Maybe next year ...

We're in purdah at the moment as Mick is taking a BIG exam on the 20th. We might be up for festivals soon after that though.
