Hi gang. After hearing a couple of songs from the Ontario band Tanglefoot, I'd like to get one of their CDs. Does anyone have any opinions on the best one to get first?

Thanks, Marion

Honest advice? they're all excellent! Whichever one you go for will be chock full of top songs but if I could only have one it would be FULL THROATED ABANDON.

Enjoy!

Wayne

Agree whole-heartedly with Wayne. I have all thei CDs. But they also have a new DVD of a live prformance that is excellent.

All of the above! It's an investment you'll never regret.

If you go to their website, you can find links to where they will be playing well worth seeing if you can get to one of their gigs. There are also lyrics from most of their CDs and soundbites of many tracks - have a listen and make your mind up yourself.
They are a great bunch - haven't met the new fiddler yet though. We'll have to wait until Otley Folk Festival in September.
Quack!

I think my favourite is still Full Throated Abandon but haven't heard a bad one yet so don't limit yourself. We are all fans of the band in our house and recently Maddie (Madlion) took a CD to school as part of their music lesson and quite a few youngters, who normally listen to nothing but manufactured pop, expressed an interest in them.

The new fiddler is a fine fiddler and much nicer to look at than the rest of the aging (but well preserved) gang!

I'll keep the consensus going: Full Throated Abandon is definitely the one that's gotten the most spins in my CD player. And has my favorite songs; I've already swiped "Angel of Long Pointe" and have my eyes on "One More Night" and "McCurdy's Boys".

Although I must confess that The Music In The Wood ain't far behind. "Vimy" and "Secord's Warning" were earworms for weeks after we saw them in April.

Yah, but you're missing "Traighli Bay," "Paddy's Finger," "Music in the Wood," "Dollar Bill," "Jack the Green," "Drunken Dummer Survey," and "Radioman." Life is so short. You best order more CD's.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
