Hello, I was brought up in Texas and my mom sang these two verses to me. Can anyone identify this folk song?

Dead Cow in the middle of the lot
sing song kitty wont you kie me oh

Karo kiro daro boys
M'haim M'home M'hime
Boomasicle lopasicle along came knick knack

I have a version of this song called "Keemo Kimo" on a wonderful album called Children's Songs, all performed by Ed McCurdy, on Tradition records. The chorus goes like this:

Keemo, Kimo, where oh where
Ma-hee, Ma-High, along comes Sally singing
Sing-song pennywhistle, in comes Nippy cat
Sing Song Kitty Kitchee Ki Me Oh.

Spelling is obviously up for grabs.

Spelling is a real challenge on nonsense words. a search for kimo gets 4 hits. Try various spellings and see what you get.

I was doing a search for a silly little ditty my dad used to sing.
I found this information concerning the song and I am very pleased. I remember my dads version as follows.   

SING SONG KITTY
WONT'T YOU KI ME OH
KI RO KAY RO
DI ME OH MA WARE
ME HI ME HO ME
IN STEP NIP CAT
HIT HIM WITH A BRICK BAT
SING SONG KITTY
WON'T YOU KI ME OH

That was all of the song I ever heard him sing, but I heard it many times.
After reading some of the preceding verses I believe he had some words confused.

In fact, your Dad is the man who put the Folk in "Folk Music"

I learned it at a summer camp in Central California in 1958 as

Sing Song Kitty Won't You Ki Me Oh
Ki Mo, Kee Mo, Ki Mo, Kee!
Way down yonder in the holler tree
The Owl and the Bat and the Bumble Bee
Sing Song Kitty Won't You Ki Me Oh

Or something like that.

To happyman. No my mother sang that same verse....sort of. I think the lyrics have been changed multiple times or perhaps added to the original by region.
I still havent been able to find the entire version she sang to us kids. Shes gone now, I should have asked her to write them down.
