The 39th Marymass folk festival runs from 22nd to 27th August in Irvine, Ayrshire.

Tuesday 22nd : Eric Bogle and John Munro
Wednesday 23rd : open stage
Thursday 24th : The Hans Theessink Band
Friday 25th : Rab Noakes and Fraser Spiers
Saturday 26th :Tanglefoot
Suday 27th: Survivors session

This is Scotland's running folk festival and in addition to the concerts there are regular sessions and the world championships for Whammy Diddling and Chuckie Chucking

Nice to see that Rab Noakes is still performing.
I have some recordings he made in the 70's. Such a lovely singer/songwriter.

Hello, Dickmac - wishing I could be there. I enjoyed performing at the Irvine Folk Club back in 2003. It sounds like a great festival!

Hope you're well and still singing away.
The Club moved to a new home, the Golf Hotel, in January 2005 and it has proved to be a great success. The same old faces are still around.
