On the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, the New World Festival happens in Randolph Vermont newworldfestival.com It's a nice pocket festival of Quebecois, Celtic and Cajun music. Randolph's in central Vermont, right off Interstate 89 and is also within 15 minutes of my family's camp. I'm planning to hang out at camp, host musician friends, and possibly take in the festival. If you'd like to come for the festival or the jamming and singing at camp, drop me a pm and I'll pass along details such as directions and accommodations info.

It's always a great little festival with topflight performers. I've sometimes taken the 3+ hour drive and paid for my tickets when I've had the weekend off, and it's been well worth it. But this year I'll miss it again as I'll be playing out in Chicago. But if you can go, it's worth the effort.
