Subject: Irish Sessions New York From: redsnapper Date: 23 Aug 06 - 10:03 AM Dear All, I've searched the forum on this without any definitive results. Would any New York-based 'Catters be able to provide pointers to good Irish sessions in the city? Many thanks in advance, RS |

Subject: RE: Irish Sessions New York From: Greg B Date: 23 Aug 06 - 08:24 PM The Eagle Tavern has been closed for, oh, about a decade I think. I made it there once before it closed...hell, I think I even played the place with the Rogues, or maybe just with Jan, but I think I kilt them brain cells. Our own Liam's Brother was once the impresario there, if I'm not mistaken. I've heard some great stories stemming from sea song sings there, most of which are not repeatable in mixed company. |
