Subject: Folklore: Singapore Folk Clubs From: Leadfingers Date: 31 Aug 06 - 07:54 AM Until we handed over to the Singapore Armed Forces there were a lot of British and Commonwealth service personnel in Singapore , with Folk Clubs in Three RAF bases ( Seletar , Changi and Tengah) and one each for the Navy and the Army . Although set up and run by Service people , a fair number of civilians also attended the clubs . There is now a sort of organisation of ex Singers singers , with a reunion in October ! If any Catters want info , just Ask !! |
