PS I wasn't on holiday with Villan, in case anyone misunderstood!
Of course I am sure he is delightful holiday company etc etc but you know how people gossip!
Hope you had a good time, Villan, we did!

I drove through Market Rasen yesterday (long story!). It looked very nice. It's a long way from where I live, though - sadly much too far for an evening at a Folk Club! Hope Friday evening goes well.

Market Rasen Folk Club is not in Market Rasen, strange, but true!...it is held in Faldingworth Village Hall...do you want to explain where it is, Villan?!

Its simple. If you go to the first post in this thread and click on the link that says Wider Area Map, you will see where Faldingworth is in relation to Market Rasen.
Shame you didn't pass by on Friday night Shimrod and thanks for the good wishes.

Yes they did Twangy and both Helian Keys and Gwenda & Terry Cater did very good sets that complimented the evening and added the variety as we have come to expect. You missed a really good evening.
Gwenda was MC and she had everybody in stitches, with me being the butt of her tongue :-)
The turnout was 40 including the performers, which was a little low for MRFC standards, but I can honestly say that we all enjoyed the evening very much as we normally do.
Duncan McFarlane (Guitar & vocals) & Anne Brivonese (lovely fiddle playing and harmony) provided two very good sets that had us tapping our feet, clapping and singing the choruses with gusto (including me :-) ). Looking foward to seeing them again at the Gainsborough Folk Festival in October with the rest of Duncan's folk rock band, who I have seen before and they are not to be missed.

Thank you for that mate I was worried that I had missed a really bad night doh!
Or maybe you are just saying it was good to rub it in and make me feel even more deprived?
My work mate has had an accident at work involving a trip and fall from ground level onto the railhead, landing on his back.
He is off next week as well so will be tired and grumpy for a while.
