Went last year & had a good time. I know a fair-size contingent from Whitby will be going (aboard the Grand Turk again) but I can't make it myself.

Have a good one, look out for record high tides expected this weekend.

From a quick look at the running order, the guests are Monkey's Orphan, Benny Graham and Chuck Fleming, Fore n Aft, Plough Jockeys and Capstan Full Strength running the singaround and doing some singing themselves. (Not forgetting John and Sue Griffiths, without whom, etc etc)
And of course, the Shellbacks, mentioned above.

Many thanx to John & Sue Griffiths for the invite.

I agree that Saturday on the Grand Turk was special, as was the vicar's closing speech on Sunday regarding the peacock & the peahens!

Sue Griffiths, here

Have just waved off the Grand Turk (along with John). Thanks to everyone involved for making all the hard work pay off. It was a brilliant festival. Chris of Inner State actually went to the top of the main mast, up the rigging and sat on the button - brave girl and well done. Hope to see lots of you again, next year - along with the fabulous weather. (My pre-married name was Barnett - they call me Barnacle at work - I wonder why!!!!)

Thanks from Four 'n' Aft - we had a great weekend. John & Sue Griffiths, Alan (the head of Gt Yarmouth Tourism) and the main stage soundman all did a great job, (as did the army of the volunteers who were always on and around the quayside to help). As ever, we met old friends and made new ones.

The weather was great and people turned up in their droves. The daytimes had a great atmosphere and Saturday night on the "Grand Turk" was very special. We would very much like to thank the crew of the "Turk" for the unsheduled, but extremely well-timed sound effects, during our set on Sunday lunchtime!!!!!

See you all again next year.

Chris Lock
(Four 'n' Aft)

Not a problem Chris and I hope it made up for the Transit Van at the back of the stage at Crag Rats, Holmfirth Festival, a few years ago.

The final session after the festival were the Full time Crew let off steam was also as usual special. I'll add my thanks to everyone for yet another, my third, Great Yarmouth Festival. Oh and Chris I still owe you a pint Cheers.
