Subject: BS: Moody Blues going strong From: Georgiansilver Date: 01 Oct 06 - 11:23 AM Sorry to have to put this in BS but not to do with FOLK music so perhaps best........Went to Nottingham to see the Moody Blues last night and although they have aged somewhat..the concert was as good musically as it was 30 years ago....yes thirty years ago since I saw them live. They are magnificent..go see them if you get the chance. Best wishes, Mike. |
Subject: RE: BS: Moody Blues going strong From: GUEST,Number 6 Date: 01 Oct 06 - 01:26 PM The Moodys were a refreshing touch to the 60's music scene back in the late 60's. Dust off some of my old albums and listen to them every now and then. Good to hear they are still on top of their craft Mike sIx |

Subject: RE: BS: Moody Blues going strong From: GUEST,old hippy gits in faded denim Date: 01 Oct 06 - 02:01 PM weren't they put together as a bunch of session players to quickly knock out a cheapo psychedelic cash-in LP.. but it turned out much better than anyone could predict so they decided to stick together as a 'proper' group ??? least ways thats how I heard it.. |
Subject: RE: BS: Moody Blues going strong From: fat B****rd Date: 01 Oct 06 - 02:47 PM Nah, old hippy. Denny Laine left and did the excellent "Say You Don't Mind" with his electric string band. They got a couple new blokes (or "blowks" in Brum speak) turned out "days of future passed" got in the News of the World for dropping Acid and got all Siekeydelic and wistful after that. I think. |
