England's longest practising pro folker, will be sitting, hat-on, guitar and banjo within reach.

As Les Barker wrote ' ther's nobody as old a Derek Brimstone'

Hope some of you will come

at the Comfort Hotel, Holywell Hill, st Albans

doors open 7.30

plus a selection of residents, who include Chris Flegg, the El grek george papavgeris - though he'll be too knacked probably, Moses, the ref to mention a few

very intimate setting, in other words , small, but cosy

It's a bit far to travel from Perth to "Snalbans", had the gig been 34 years ago I could have popped over from "Stev'nij" where I used to live.

I do keep in touch via email with Del and when I used to travel to UK for work, made a point of catching up for a Ruby and chat with him and Lady B.

Anyway, just thought you could pass on my regards.

Cheers

Bugsy

Stev'nnjj is now St.Evenage and a few people pop over to St Albans as often as possible. It's a chance to keep up our fluency in German and French.

La vie en rose,

Cathy

But I should also add: Brimmo's still the biz. And, if you haven't read his books yet, you'd be well advised. The first one in particular, for me, was tremendous.
