Can anyone help me with the chords (guitar) to Nature Boy by Eden Ahbez. I'm playing it in Am but I need some chords that I can't seem to find. Anyone seen or have any charts on this? Thanks

If this is the one that Nat Cole recorded you should be able to find it on some sheet music. I think I had it 40 yrs ago. I played it by ear and got these

Am E7 Am E7 etc. then a D7, Caug and B7 ending on Em. See if they fit in a sound right to you?

For a lighter alternative, I can reccommend the version recorde as Serutan Yob by Red Ingle and the (Un?)natural Seven.

I was looking for another song on a CD, and came across my favorite Nat King Cole cut, "Nature Boy." The Great Song Thesaurus says this song was written in the year of my birth, 1948, with words and music by Eden Ahbez - possibly based on Herman Yablokoff's Yiddish song "Schweig Mein Hartz" (Be Calm, My Heart) and a traditional black American spiritual, "Sweet Jesus Boy." Can anybody help find the Yiddish song and the spiritual?

I quite like David Bowie's rendition on the Moulin Rouge soundtrack. But it could just be the Ewan McGregor association turning my head. ;)

i just read that the song was inspired by Gypsy Boots, (Robert Bootzin)
a health food and life style pioneer who invented a health food candy bar called Gypsy boots...very interesting person..the original nature boy!!

Look up George Bensons version in Fm. It works but still seems lacking. Jumbo jimbo is all very wrong.
