I'm looking for lyrics to a song I heard "Regalia" do at the Broadstairs Folk Week in 1985 or so. Chorus starts something like:

The girls of Glossop Road, The girls of Glossop Road, .......................... With the girls of Glossop Road.

Thanks.

Just thought I'd retry this request. The verses included something about a squire and a cold pork pie, if memory serves.

Thanks for the reply, Marion. I'm pretty sure I still have the tune in my head (may even have a snippet on a tape recorded at a harmony workshop), but would dearly appreciate the words, if it's not too much trouble. Thanks, John

Marion

I've just picked up on a thread from a while back.

If you sent the words of "Glossop Road" and still have a copy on file I would be most grateful if you would send it to gerry@springhill.f9.co.uk

Regards

Gerry

Hi, Gerry.  Oddly enough, the song was posted a few days ago; see:  Glossop  Of course, you could always buy a copy of the  South Riding Song Book!  See you at Mayfest, no doubt.

Malcolm
