I saw Harry Chapin at the San Diego State University ampitheater where he put on a great show. A couple of years later I bought tickets to see him at the Greek, but so tragically, he passed away before the date of the show.

When I left the Fortune 500 I was working for to be a stay-at-home Dad, I said in my resignation that "I didn't want my life or my sons' lives to wind up like a Harry Chapin song lyric."

The stiff suits had no idea what I was talking about and I laughd my way back home.

Yes, I know the lyric Spaw. That's my favourite song of HC's. Difficult to hear it without getting a bijou lumpette in the throat.
