One not to miss, The best jug band around "The Alley Cats" are doing a gig at the Sun on February the 9th. With a full mix of Old Time,Trad, and Jug band tunes and songs. Kick off around 8.30/9

Excellent family band. Mattie's mandolin playing will knock your socks off. Some excellent singing and musicianship.

Many managers ago the Sun used to regularly have interesting stuff on a Sunday night is this a return to those days or a one off.
Looks like I'll just have to give "Sing something simple" a miss and pop along to the Sun

Fridays are alternative music nights,Harry Watts are on later on in feb. Saturdays are the main night with rock, Emerald were on last Saturday.AC.DC and some of the proper R&B, "Aint no sunshine when she's gone". Well worth a trip back if you are at a lose end

Tonight is like a folk festival again in Beverley. A good band on in the sun and a short walk away the session in the Tiger. And it's all free.
