The Music Well is the new name for Radio Britfolk.

The site continues to provide the best in traditional and contemporary folk music from Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England and we welcome visitors old and new to share the enjoyment in our cultural heritage.
In addition to listening to the shows and using the site's extensive features we invite you to:
  • create shows
  • add information about gigs and other events
  • advertise your folk club
  • tell us about a session you're involved in and post samples
  • post information about your festival - make a preview show
  • sell your CDs from the online shop
  • participate in bulletin boards
The Music Well is not run for profit and there is no big business behind it - it's all about folk music, the folk who love it and make it and the folk who just love it.

Phil Snell

The Music Well Billboard

3 hours of back-to-back tracks, submitted and sponsored by artists or record companies.

The Billboard playlist is randomised, meaning that every time you drop in you'll see a different running order. This is so that no track can hog the playlist. These days you can select which track you want to hear - so drop in and give it a try!

All the tracks have been sponsored, usually by the performer or record company. The Music Well does not operate any quality control on the Billboard, but does police the list to make sure the music fits our policies. To add your tracks go to the Add to Billboard page on The Music Well website...

Just been listening to The Music Well. It really is a great way of hearing a good selection of folky music.

Give it a listen

The Music Well

....is still working very well. Just uploaded some stuff (Special Brew). Tend to let it play in the background while I'm computerising.

I reckon it rivals Mike Harding's show, but don't tell 'im!
