26 Mar 07 - 08:24 PM (#2008000) Subject: RE: BS: Onion: Bluesman's woman's side of story From: Bobert I remember reading this story a few years back at Tweedsblues and all I gotta say is what a fellow bluesman, Johnny from the Doughtery Dawgs Blues Band in Norway once said and that was that "The blues is 99% about womenz and other natural disasters"... I use that quote in very show I do... Yeah, okay, the womenz got their beefs but, hey, they outlive us, don't they??? Why, you might ask... Well, I'll tell you why... Thems drives us poor men so hard that we just get to a point where the 6 foot hole looks better than another sunrise... Didn't woke up this mornin' = peace... Sidewalk Bob (bluesman, alias Bobert) |

One day I finally told him how sad it made me to hear him say all those nasty, low down things about me. I was serious! It actually made me cry to think I made him so miserable. Of course it only made him love me more and assured me that I was sweeter than honey. I think back on those days and wonder how I could have been so innocent and so naive. A real woman-child. Thanks for reminding me of the 'good old days'. |
