Skipy-

Try the Mudcat Tavern; they're never dry.

I prefer a Rose'..........A nice 50/50 mix of Red Rocket and White Rocket will do nicely. For a bolder red I choose Thunderbird although the 69 cent a gallon price is a bit steep......worth it though!

At the moment I am drinking a bottle of Pilsner! One of 50 that I found in a skip yesterday, only 13 months out of date, drank several yesterday, no probs!

oh, perhaps a Chateau Y'Quem 1963 (2nd from right) will suffice for afternoon, though a nice Lafite-Rothschild '85 would be nice with a Venison Fritatta for supper. Come over, 'Spaw...you need your conciousness raised.

WellBill what with this being a predominantly Irish kind of Cafe here at the 'Cat perhaps we need to go with the delicate taste of WILD IRISH ROSE WINE.....

Great site there btw.

Don't laugh! Jeri brought that to a song circle and it got drunk. As to Red Rocket and White Rocket, I believe we are discussing potables not explosives.

"it got drunk" - That sounds a little rude; don't you mean SHE got drunk?

BARLEY!!!

Home brew is always cheapest and therefore, the best.

Malting is simple and barley is almost a weed...no need to get the red froggies involved.

There"s a good South African red called " Goats Do Roam " on the market now.
Another one worth buying just for the label is an Iberian delight called " Quita Penas " ---!!!

I don't know why you're drinking here on your own money, Bert's card is still 'open' at the Tavern.

We may have to have a trip out soon... we're down to our last bottle of red!

I haven't had Bully Hill in a raccoon's age. Glad to hear they're still making it. I've been to the vineyard. Quite a story attached to it and the name. I used to frequent Skaneateles in my youth. Beautiful region and lakes. Here's to well-spent youth! I'll toast with a Cab.

I'm not sure rhubarb counts as fruit.

Rhubarb isn"t a fruit----It"s a sortie by ground-attack aircraft,at low level, over enemy territory, to specifically strafe and rocket trains, vehicles, and other targets of opportunity !
