Orders may be placed during May, during June they'll clear up, no news yet if they can sell it as a going concern. It'll save me some money-their second hand lists are seductive- but sad news, especially as most big retailers don't carry many UK blues artists. RtS |

The high st cd outlets will disappear in the next few years. And even though I do most of my cd shopping on line, I will miss record shops. Back in the 60s and 70s, I used to go to London quite often to visit folk/blues venues and buy lps. I once bought 36 albums over one long weekend. |

I used to go through them and ring items that interested me. Well, I must have ringed hundreds in very month. I think the problem with specialist outlets is that, historically, they had the information - the catalogues and contacts, but now the info is available on the net and shopping around gets you a better price. |

I presented a weekly blues hour on QBS (Qatar Broadcasting Service) from 1995 to 2005, and most of my stuff came from Red Lick. The service was good and, my word, that catalogue was a good two evening's reading; a real treasure trove! |

But I'd seriously endorse those above comments - Ken and Ann always always so very helpful and obliging, catalogues excellent and informative, loads of interest every time - often too much for my meagre pocket to stand! Good luck to them in their well-earned retirement I say, but let's hope the company itself can be rescued, it's far too good a concern to go under. |

I wish them both well for the future. I remember back in the 1980's just about commiting to memory how to spell penrhyndeudraeth the place in North Wales (i think it was) they used to be located and probably stil are,and I was so dissapointed when they went over to using a PO Box address as I no longer had the spelling challenge ha ha. What a shame if somebody doesnt take over their bussiness or is it too dificult now with big online retailers like Amazon in the picture stealing so many sales .
