17 May 07 - 03:57 PM (#2054872) Subject: RE: New folk club Blairgowrie, Perthshire From: Pistachio Best wishes for/to the new club. I'm stuck here in East Yorkshire but my sister lives in Blair and I'll see if she can take time to join you. If the bar is easy access, I'll send my Mum down too. If I get North over the Summer I'll certainly say hello. Further to Guest 08:21AM is it singaround/strictly folk or do you welcome 'all' . Hazel. |
24 May 07 - 10:01 AM (#2059838) Subject: RE: New folk club Blairgowrie, Perthshire From: GUEST,Mad Jock Hello Pistachio The First Thursday of the Month is a "formal concert" with acts doing 15-20 mins if booked in before hand and floor singers getting 2 songs where space and time allows. All musical genres welcome even banjo players. Last month we had Nick Allmark from Dalguise, Dave from Dundee, Ronnie from??? The hotel manager did a set of tunes on the bagpipes and one of our local played the small pipes. Other Thursdays are a all wecome session. This week a few of the regulars are of on hols so all support particularly welcome. The bar has ease of access. There are three steps to go up at the front or if you come in the side door by the car park there are no steps. |
