Lyr Req: Lincoln's Army (McEvoy?)

Need the lyrics to this song.

I heard it for teh first time last week. The singer said he got it from a recording by Johnny McAvoy.
I tried the D.T. but to no avail ?.
I also tried Utube under Johnny Mc Avoy but nothing came up. It is a song about Irishmen in the Union Army.

Johnny McEvoy's recording of LINCOLN'S ARMY appears on 2 albums: "Ireland's Original Johnny McEvoy," Rego, 1993; and "The Essential Johnny McEvoy," a.k.a. "The Essential Collection," Dara, 2004. Apparently it's his own composition.

The Irish Rovers also recorded it on their album "Come Fill Up Your Glasses," 1998.

I wasn't able to find any sound samples or lyrics.

I know of one other song on the same subject that you might like: BY THE HUSH, also known as PADDY'S LAMENTATION, which is discussed in this thread: Lyr Add: Paddy's Lamentation, and some other threads that you can link to from there.

Thanks Jim, I realize my mistake was in the spelling of his name. I was looking for McAvoy instead of McEvoy.

I did not find the lyrics on his website but did find some other powerful songs, esopecially one titled " The Ballad of Ann Franks".

I will try to find one of the albums here in Canada, if not I will ask a brother in Ireland to get one for me.

Thanks again.
