12 Jun 07 - 05:06 PM (#2075127) Subject: RE: Isla St Clair, Barnsley THE KEEL 2nd Jul From: Jack Campin She spent a good few years doing more remunerative kinds of singing and I guess some people can't forgive her for that. When I've heard her in traditional stuff she sounded utterly convincing. There aren't many singers I'd rather listen to. |
12 Jun 07 - 07:09 PM (#2075263) Subject: RE: Isla St Clair, Barnsley THE KEEL 2nd Jul From: Herga Kitty I think Isla St Clair was one of the reasons that Herga Morris enjoyed their appearance on the Generation Game... but she sings trad songs from her roots and really enjoys singing. Was great fun and worked hard when she was booked at the Saffron Walden festival too. Kitty |

I've also got a very rare LP recorded when Isla was 17 years old - very traditional and absolutely superb! |
