25 Jun 07 - 07:48 AM (#2086280) Subject: Frank Harte Festival 2007: Dublin From: MartinRyan Just a preliminary notice - I'll update as more details become available: _______________________________________________________________ The Frank Harte Festival wiil take place over the weekend of the 21/22/23 September 2007. The format wiil be very similar to last year with the official opening and a singing session on Friday, two singing workshops, one for younger people and one for older people on Saturday morning, two presentations/illustrated talks on Saturday afternoon followed by some singing sessions, the Frank Harte Memorial Concert on Saturday night and finishing with singing sessions on Sunday afternoon/evening. The venues will be the same as last year, Maye's Bar on Friday, Club Na Muinteoiri Nasuinta (The Teachers Club) on Saturday and back to Maye's on Sunday. Guests confirmed so far are: Len Graham, Karan Casey, Mick Maloney, Jim MacFarland, Ron Kavana, Mick Coyne, Dave Hennessy and Annie Armstrong, Sean Corcoran, Maighread and Triona Ni Dhomhnaill, Luke Cheevers, Alannah Henderson _____________________________________________________________ Regards |

I visited Michael Dwyer's grave in Waverley Cemetery yesterday, it was a moving experience. I sang Dunlavin Green as I stood by the tomb, the crows went silent it was eerie.
