You can enjoy your dandruff rather than suffering from it- if you like green tea.

Good article to read. It isn't clear though whether one imbibes or applies the tea.

Interesting. I'm just now reading 'Self-Consciousness', a 1990 memoir by John Updike. He has/had psoriasis which evidently even today is held in check only by medications. His attitude to it as a boy and how it affected him as a man is revealing. Wonder if he will be reading this article?

From the linked article:

...The chemicals in green tea are so active that they are oxidized too quickly when mixed with other ingredients. They also dissolve in water, which cannot penetrate the skin's barrier. Researchers are looking for a balanced formula that can dissolve in fats, which can permeate the skin, Dr. Hsu says...

I think that means it probably won't work either way, Peace. But Imbibing is a better bet for now.

Yeah, I was wondering that, too:   Does on drink it, bathe in it, or snort it? Drink it for now, I guess, while waiting for further developments.

Ya can't compress a liquid.

Ya can a tiny bit. And call it hydraulics.

The water at the bottom of the ocean is compressed by the weight of the water above it all the way to the surface, and is more dense than the water at the surface.
A consequence of compressing a fluid is that the viscosity, that is the resistance of the fluid to flow, also increases as the density increases. This is because the atoms are forced closer together, and thus cannot slip by each other as easily as they can when the fluid is at atmospheric pressure.

Aircraft engineer, so I do understand hydraulics!

I suspect the answer will be a cream formulated with ingredients such as ground tea mixed into lanolin or glycerin or something else that can be absorbed. Messy, though. Like the rest of you, I'll continue drinking it for the time being.

I'd both drink it and wash the affected areas with it. As well as enjoying the drink, there's the chance that eligible othersexians will smell your hair and decide that you are just their cup of tea.

On the other hand, (and I like a good deviating thread as much as the next person), if there is anything here that has been shown to alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis, then there are a lot of suffering people out there that would be overjoyed to give it a go.
