It does not follow the book TOO slavishly, but it's very well done and preserves the spirit of Gaiman's book quite well. It's touching and funny, and the visual effects are great. Recommended! I was wondering if that movie was any good, though I won't see it until the DVD comes out. Another embarassing moment for my husband! But I could be wrong--there have been a lot of films made from 'unfilmable' material. Glad to hear Stardust is good. I love the book. I'll probably catch the film sooner or later. |
