I'm looking for the song "Little Too Small"....some texts are:
You're just a little too small young man
You never could answer at all,
I'm young I know and perhaps I will grow
But at present you're a little too small...........or somthing similar along
those lines

Another song lyrics I'm looking for is "The Old Black Punt"...by a
Newfoundland band...The Byrne's Brothers band sings it

Fellow stops in who is part of the GEST Nfld Songs web-site and may see this thread. The Old Black Punt isn't there, but they have a message board to ask for them as well.

Is it possible that the second song you're looking for is "Old Black Rum"? It's by Great Big Sea, a popular Newfoundland folk-rock band.

"Your [sic.] A Little Too Small"

I'm one of th jolliest young fellows you know
Who always enjoys a good time
I pay up my debts wherever I go
I'm willing to spend my last dime

VERSE 2
I've one great misfortune tho' I'm not to blame
Because that I don't grow tall
I think it's a weak anbondible shame
For to say, I'm a little to small

VERSE 3
O yes, your a little too small, young man
You never would suit me at all
Your young, I know and perhaps you may grow
But at present your a little too small

VERSE 4
One eve while out walking by chance I did meet
A lady, a schoolmate of mine
While escorting her home, of course it was agreed
I took her that evening to dine

VERSE 5
I ask her if I might be at her escort
And at her home I might call
She said, I'll ask ma but I surely believe
She say, your a little too small

VERSE 6
O yes, your a little to small, young man
You never would suit me at all
Your young, I know, and prehaps you may grow
But a present your a little to small

VERSE 7
I had a rich uncle and when he died
Of course I come in for my share
And these were th very last words he said
My boy, your a young millionaire

VERSE 8
With congratulations so early next morn
Th ladies upon him did call
O, ladies, excuse me, I'm sorry to say
But a present your a little to tall

VERSE 9
O yes, your a little to tall, young girls
You never would suit me at all
Your young, I know, and perhaps you may grow
But at present your a little to tall

I think that may be the "The Old Black Punt" requested by the OP. It fits the OP's parameters.
