Maxwell continued in the role until 1985, when she played boss M's secretary for the last time in "A View To A Kill" with Roger Moore. Her final movie role was in the 2001 thriller "The Fourth Angel". Another great has gone to the theatre in the sky. |

She was Canadian and at one point wrote a column for the Toronto paper. She also had a very promising early career including being one of eight young Hollywood beauties in an issue of Life magazine. Another was Marilyn Monroe. She was awarded the Golden Globe Newcomer's award when she was starting out in the late 40's. A classy act and a great character she created. RIP and thanks Spaw |

As well as her 14 outings as Miss Moneypenny, she also appeared in Stanley Kubrick's Lolita and worked on TV shows including The Saint, The Baron, Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), The Persuaders! and Department S. Aged 58 when she made her final Bond appearance, she was replaced by 26-year-old Caroline Bliss for The Living Daylights. As well as her acting career, she also worked as a columnist for the Toronto Sun newspaper. Her last film role was in the 2001 thriller The Fourth Angel, alongside Jeremy Irons and Jason Priestley. |
