05 Feb 08 - 08:27 AM (#2253981) Subject: RE: Arran Folk Festival From: Dickmac I was in Arran over the new year and it would appear that "something" will be happening over the summeer. Likely to be in June as previous years. I also read that a committee/working group had been set up to make sure the festival will run again in 2009, yes 2009. A number of festival regulars went over to Arran for two or three years after the festival stopped for a weekend of sessions but this eventually died a death due to limited local support. If there is no festival this year and anyone is interested in a session weekend in June pick up this thread and let's see what happens. |

A lot of the musicians who are involved there know what goes on and would be able to help |
