If Bob is interested he should see if Unity would add his song to their new hymnal. I heard they were coming out with one this year; don't know what stage the process is in, but my sister is one-step away from being a full-fledged minister for them, heard his song and immediately thought the same thing I did....it should be one of their standards. His tune, Beaucatcher's Farewell, is one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. He is an engaging performer, good writer, and has had a tremendous impact on folk and traditional music in the Tidewater region of Virginia. One of the things I've missed most by moving from the area is Bob's performances and the festivals and concerts he promoted. |
