14 Oct 07 - 09:42 PM (#2171256) Subject: RE: Three years today From: Rapparee Well, on October 6 we passed into our 35th year of marriage and our 39th together. I hope, Jacqui, that Kendall proposed as romantically as I did. I said, "You'll have to let me know if you want to get married" and she did. So she called my mother and said, "Mike and I have decided to get married" and my mother shouted the news to my sister in the traditional way our family announces such things: "Hey! Pat's pregnant!" Some months later we hoisted anchor together. 'Tain't always been easy, but we've managed 'er as best we can. And you two will also. Just don't get either Seamus or Kendall wet. |

15 Oct 07 - 01:04 PM (#2171641) Subject: RE: Three years today From: jacqui.c Kendall didn't really propose, and we HAD to get married. His cancer reappearance and subsequent operation brought forward plans we had to be together and, due to the green card situation, we had to become a sort of respectable married couple. He's out of the cellar for the moment and he did remember the day, which wins him lots of brownie points. Oh, and I still fancy him like mad - he's just GORGEOUS! |

15 Oct 07 - 03:03 PM (#2171751) Subject: RE: Three years today From: ClaireBear Happy now-belated belated anniversary from me, and many happy wonderful returns. My 15th date-i-versary was Friday a week ago. What is it about October...is it that we, umm, mature folks' fancies turn to thoughts of love only when the weather turns cold and we realize we can't stand the thought of yet another winter warmed only by an electric blanket? Claire |
15 Oct 07 - 04:11 PM (#2171801) Subject: RE: Three years today From: kendall The problem with electric blankets is that sometimes the power goes off and there is no heat. Of course, that happens with partners too. |

I also liked Robert Taylor until he knuckled under to the UnAmerican Activities Committee and joined the communist witch hunt. |
