Three years today

Three years ago today Jacqui and I set sail on the sea of matrimony. We have had a couple of squalls, but no rigging snappers. I can't speak for her, but, I'll sign on for another three, maybe more.

well done you two. I managed 26 years first time round and have been with Tony for nearly 3 years now. But we are growing old disgracefully, once bitten twice shy:)

Working together we learned how to cope.

I'm definitely signing on for an indefinite voyage. I managed to snag the best Cap'n possible.

The furry yellow cabin boy's pretty good too.

Always happy to hear of successful marriages. Mrs. Sunset Coast and I are closing in on 40 years come February. Where did the time go, and how did I get so old? She on the other hand still looks like the bride I married.

Well, on October 6 we passed into our 35th year of marriage and our 39th together.

I hope, Jacqui, that Kendall proposed as romantically as I did. I said, "You'll have to let me know if you want to get married" and she did. So she called my mother and said, "Mike and I have decided to get married" and my mother shouted the news to my sister in the traditional way our family announces such things: "Hey! Pat's pregnant!"

Some months later we hoisted anchor together. 'Tain't always been easy, but we've managed 'er as best we can.

And you two will also.

Just don't get either Seamus or Kendall wet.

21 years on Thursday for Karen and I. I wish I'd met her 21 years sooner.......then again, if I had, I would have been 17 which would be far too young in my opinion......Especially since she would have been 8.

Anyway, I am happy for the both of you and Karen and I send you our best!

Kendall didn't really propose, and we HAD to get married.

His cancer reappearance and subsequent operation brought forward plans we had to be together and, due to the green card situation, we had to become a sort of respectable married couple.

He's out of the cellar for the moment and he did remember the day, which wins him lots of brownie points.

Oh, and I still fancy him like mad - he's just GORGEOUS!

Happy now-belated belated anniversary from me, and many happy wonderful returns.

My 15th date-i-versary was Friday a week ago. What is it about October...is it that we, umm, mature folks' fancies turn to thoughts of love only when the weather turns cold and we realize we can't stand the thought of yet another winter warmed only by an electric blanket?

The problem with electric blankets is that sometimes the power goes off and there is no heat. Of course, that happens with partners too.

On the other hand, electric blankets don't snore or twitch...

Today marks the anniversary of the time my relatives kicked ass on her relatives at a place called Battle, aka Hastings.

Oh oh, I just heard the cellar door open!

Thanks, Giok. That's a new one to me. "ee were off side but what could they do... Now that's funny!

I remember seeing the film Ivanhoe when I was a boy, and I developed a strong dislike for Normans. Didn't know they were my ancestors.
I also liked Robert Taylor until he knuckled under to the UnAmerican Activities Committee and joined the communist witch hunt.
