BS: Russell Crowe

I turned on the TV and of course found a Halloween turkey werewolf movie. The strange thing is, I am sure one of the actors was Russell Crowe, the Gladiator. Don't know the name of the movie. But there is no listing of a B rated Horror flick in his movie lists.
Anyone know this one?

"I turned on the TV and of course found a Halloween turkey werewolf movie."

So...

...which was scarier? ... the Halloween turkey or the werewolf?

I've always found the Halloween turkey to be among the most under-rated inflictors of movie terror.

Sage Green is the new black/The Halloween turkey is the new clown.

The Howling is on AMC...was that the one? They make no mention of Russel Crowe in the description, but Slim Pickens is in it!

The Howling
Goings-on at a spa that caters to werewolves. Dee Wallace, Patrick Macnee, Dennis Dugan, Kevin McCarthy, John Carradine, Slim Pickens.

Yes, I said that in my post, Mickey, but I thought perhaps Sins was mistaken about it being Russell Crowe. I'm looking through the TV listings for our area for werewolf movies.

Mr. Crowe has never made a werewolf movie in the universe we currently inhabit. However, he has made numerous such films in a universe closely parallel to our own. In that universe, Russell had an early career in pornographic videos which insured that his mainstream movie career would be restricted to bit parts in low-budget movies. Perhaps what SINSULL was receiving was leakage from that universe.

By the way, in another nearby universe it is a capital crime for anyone who has achieved success as an actor in a television comedy program to act in feature films. That would be a nice universe in which to live.

Wasn't Crowe in some turkey with Kathy Bates and John Lithgow about a naked romp up the Amazon??? It was rather hairy. Some network should run THAT for Halloween!!!

Bee-dubya ell-If we lived in that universe-we'd suffer the loss of Tom Hanks who starred in "Bosom Buddies" on tv. My brain is napping- can't think of any others. There must be others. Anyone?

Sometimes people's early roles are not credited. Or sometimes they are, but under a different name such as when they haven't fixed on their permanent screen-credit name yet. Or when they're embarrassed in advance over a low-budget, low-quality item they did to get groceries, and use a fake name. The databases don't always pick these instances up right away. Sometimes they come out hilariously as a film clip when they appear on a talk show, bad hair/makeup and all.

Russ is one of the greatest dramatic actors of our time.
If he is ever to surpass D'Niro however he will need to break into to comedy.

Too bad he didn;t get to do Anger Management instead of Sandler.

I think he would make a great Vimes if they ever film Pratchett's "Guards! Guards!".

Not that this helpos, but The Howling 3 or 4 was the one about Were-Thylacines and was set in Australia. They were done at a time before Romper Stomper so he could have a passing role

This thread puts me in mind of a marvelous "one off" tv show staring Leonard Rossiter. A character in the show, played by Rossiter, is convinced that he saw a brief glimpse of Burt Reynolds in an episode of "MacMillan and Wife". Burt isn't listed in the credits or is the appearance listed in Burt's film biog, but still the character is convinced he's correct. Eventually, he manages to get through to Burt on the telephone. Burt tells him that he never appeared in "MacMillan and Wife", to which the Leonard Rossiter character replies, "Come on Burt, you can't possibly remember everything you've appeared in!" However, I think many of us have been guilty of something like that in our lives - but maybe not to the degree of the character in the above mentioned show!
