I understand that the French Quarter is lively again but there are many areas that are sad. Janie, I'm going to McMinnville, just south of Portland, Oregon. My sister had heart surgery and needs help. While I'm down there and after she is stable (she is already starting to feel better), I hope to get the cataracts removed from my eyes. I'm taking my little dog with me and my cat will be staying with some friends here. Mrrzy, Anchorage, the biggest town in Alaska, is not quite 600 air miles from here so I guess I could make it a shorter trip if I went that direction. Seattle is an official 909 air miles but I'm going a few hundred miles farther. |

Once when I was trying to track down a James something in Chicago, long distance told me they didn't have a listing for a James but did have one for a 'John', and he "understands that they are kind of interchangeable." What made me think I could be speaking to a person in India? |
