It will certainly be useful for sending photo's and music files to friends and if the file is under 100 megabite it can be used for free. Mail big file |

15 Nov 07 - 02:18 PM (#2194604) Subject: RE: Sending a large file by email From: Emma B this may be the answer to my problem Hazel The file I wanted to send was 35mb but the picture quality was seriously compromised I presume by compressing. Thanks |

15 Nov 07 - 03:22 PM (#2194661) Subject: RE: Sending a large file by email From: Geoff the Duck There are a number of freeware file splitting progs for windows. I used one a while back to transfer a file which was too large to burn to CD, and I split it and reunited the pieces successfully on another computer. Quack. GtD. |

15 Nov 07 - 04:13 PM (#2194714) Subject: RE: Sending a large file by email From: eddie1 Is this a coincidence or what? As I type, I've been waiting for about 5 minutes for Outlook Express to download the 1st of 3 e-mails. When I finally get the file, I'll let the sender have a copy of the link, Make that 10 minutes now! Eddie |
16 Nov 07 - 11:29 AM (#2195325) Subject: RE: Sending a large file by email From: GUEST OOOPS! It turns out I rcvd a followup from the recipient of my approx. 40 meg sound file sent via the link supplied at the start of this thread. It took a while to be rcvd. (it took over 10 minutes to send) but arrived intact and was able to be transferred for air-play at my radio station. Thanks for the great advice---saving a lot of gas money now in sending it down instead of delivering it. Bill Hahn |
