08 Dec 07 - 10:19 AM (#2211268) Subject: Railway in Lymm to re-open From: John J The Railway in Heatley near Lymm, Cheshire is to re-open on Wednesday 12th December under completely new management. The pub has been closed for some time which has caused some problems for many regulars: The Railway (now Lymm) Folk Club, Bollin Morris, Songs in the Snug (a twice monthly singaround), Music session on a Thursday, Jazz nights, Blues nights....the list goes on. Hopefully things will get back to normal again - the new landlord has already ordered a stock of Black Sheep and TT Landlord, things are looking up! JJ |

09 Dec 07 - 07:36 AM (#2211818) Subject: RE: Railway in Lymm to re-open From: Bernard Stewart will take a lot of persuading to take the folk club back to the Railway after what happened... I think we're nearly all of the opinion that the Railway was the club's ideal venue - the nomadic existence we have now is far from ideal, and I don't think it is in the long-term interests of the club. Still, only time will tell. |
