Seeing the thread on Biblical names in songs got me thinking about football.....as in..We three Kings of 'Orient' are.(Leyton Orient)
Also thought of 'United' we stand, divided we fall.
Any more please?

"Any Old Iron" would be equally appropriate for West Ham as their nickname is "The Irons", 'cos the team used to be called "Thames Iron Works"

Stanley Accrington (Football in itself of course!) did a song with the names of all the teams in both (at the time) Scottish divisions.

Bit's I can remeber

She's my Queen o'th' South
and she's Breckin my Hearts

She filled the machinegun right up
I've never seen a Sten House more...

I think it did get worse but not much!
